Those of us of a certain generation tend to remember our youth as a golden age of video arcade games. Well, that's really every generation, but we had Street Fighter 2: Championship Edition. We had Mortal Kombat. And we had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game and its similarly awesome sequels The Manhattan Project and Turtles in Time, all games so much better than they had any right to be. Turtles in Time was critically acclaimed for both its gameplay and faithfulness to the source material (the TMNT cartoon, mind you, not the Mirage comic books), and it was a common thing to find yourself playing it for hours with your buddies. That is, until one of you got punched really hard in the shoulder. As some of you may remember, the fatal flaw of Turtles in Time's gameplay was its free-for-all system of health upgrades. Naturally, these came in the form of pizzas, -- Pizza Power, it was called -- but the precious pizza appeared without any one player having more claim than another. If you were closest to the pizza, you could just snatch it regardless of whether any of your three turtle bros needed it more. Occasionally there would be some group strategizing along these lines, but kids will be kids, as reenacted in this cool little video from Dorkly that you can see after the jump.
