Psychology isn't portrayed as the most rewarding profession in superhero comics, with a hearty percentage of docs meeting grisly fates at the hands of patients. Debuting on July 20 on Crackle, the six-episode web series Issues will twist that convention by putting archetypal cartoon superheroes on the couch of a live action psychologist. Unfortunately for the very human protagonist Dr. Ted (Better With You star Josh Cooke), his unstable stable of super clients may drive him to seek some therapy of his own.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cooke and director Matt Oates (Wasted) will be joined by a superhero cast voiced by more than a few animation regulars including Seth Green (Robot Chicken/Family Guy), Ron Livingston (Office Space), Greg Grunberg (The Super Hero Squad Show), Rob Riggle (The Daily Show),

Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) and

Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Dad).

From Issues' official synopsis:

Issues is a 6-part animated comedy series that chronicles the life and times of Dr. Ted, a young psychologist hellbent on making a difference in the world. His childhood dream was to offer his psychological expertise to the world's superheroes; but when his dream comes true, the mindless neuroses of the world's superheroes slowly turn every session into a constant reminder of just how un-super Ted really is amongst gods in spandex.

Following the show's debut online, Cooke, Oates and others will be at San Diego Comic-Con International on Friday, July 22 at 9:30 p.m. in room 7AB.
