The Secret Service, the long-teased collaboration between Mark Millar (Kick-Ass, Nemesis) and Dave Gibbons (Watchmen, The Originals) will come to fruition in February 2012 at Icon, as revealed today at CBR and in the pages of Millar and Leinil Yu's Superior #6. The announcement comes in the form of multiple teaser ads that communicate narrative of the comic's creation. Today's promo reads, "In 1987, schoolboy Mark Millar asked Dave Gibbons to draw one of his stories. In 2012, that dream came true." In an interview with CBR, Millar states that "...you won't hear anything else about The Secret Service until the middle of November when 'CLiNT' #12 has a massive interview and preview of the series."Millar has continued his tradition of auctioning off one of his comic book character's names for charity with The Secret Service. An eBay site has been launched to auction off the name of the book's villain, with all proceeds going to the St. Bartholomew's Primary School Pantomime Fund, which Millar -- a former pupil -- and the school's Head-Teacher Christine Boyle started to fund students of the school's annual Christmas school trip to a pantomime.
