Namco Bandai's more dormant properties are finding new life in webcomics, but for the omnipresent gaming icon Pac-Man, it's straight to TV. Sporting the working title Pac-Man -- The Adventure Begins, the new CG animated series is slated to debut on Disney XD in 2013 executive produced by Avi Arad and Rick Ungar. Unlike the 1982 Pac-Man animated series, this version doesn't appear to be a working class family man. Instead, he's a spritely young dude with colorful and similarly bulbous buds. If the trailer shown at Namco Bandai's E3 2010 party coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man is any indication (and it seems to be, judging from new show stills), Pac-Man will likely be tasked with popping power pellets like they're Miraclo in order to eat evil ghosts -- who are totally the spirits of soldiers who had previously tried to enslave his planet.
