If, like some, you had conflicting emotions over EW's first look at Disney XD's Ultimate Spider-Man animated series, USA Today has four new promo clips from the upcoming show to help you feel out its more... meta vibe. Fans of stuff like Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World and the Teen Titans animated series will most likely find the show's brand of hybrid of action, drama and humor easy to digest, but those expecting a more straightforward adventure show might take longer to warm up to a series about teen versions of Spidey, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, White Tiger and Nova training to become agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. See what you think of Disney XD's promo vid and three clips from the premiere Ultimate Spider-Man episode, "Great Responsibility," after the jump.

Personally, I dig what's been previewed of Man of Action's infusion of Zack Morris-style narration and goofy anime cutaways for the most part and think the overall package will resonate well with kids. Of course, too much of a good thing can cause fatigue. It will definitely be interesting to see what kind of balance the series strikes through its first season, which kicks off on April 1.
