Having already sold several million units on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, Batman: Arkham City has set its sights on Nintendo's upcoming Wii U console with a new edition boasting enhanced gameplay features and console-specific controls specifically designed for the new, tablet-like, Wii U GamePad. Scheduled for a holiday release in 2012, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition will pack every piece of content from the original Arkham City, plus DLC. What's new? "Battle Armored Tech Mode" known as B.A.T. Mode, naturally, which serves as a power-up for playable characters and works by converting successful combat into stored kinetic energy that can be let loose in on enemies. The Wii U GamePad will also serve as a player's own Batcomputer, freeing them to navigate through maps, menus and gadgets on a separate screen from the gameplay. According to Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment, the new controls will also increase gadget accuracy. Take a look at the E3 trailer for Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition after the cut.
