Fans waiting on Rocksteady's followup to Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City may want to brace for a timewarp. According to Variety, Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment will once again team with Rocksteady for a Batman game, only this title will rewind to the Silver Age and could include appearances by the Justice League. The as-yet unnamed game is reportedly "being developed as a prequel that revolves around Batman's first meeting with the Joker."When discussing the game's Silver Age setting, Variety also goes out of its way to mention that the time period was an era full of team-ups with "other heroes like Superman and founded the Justice League of America." That's not exactly straight up confirmation that Rocksteady's game will follow in the footsteps of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and function as a kind of Justice League title, complete with playable versions of Superman, Wonder Woman and other A-listers, but it's an interesting thought. Variety doesn't think the game will drop until at least 2014, so there's plenty of time to ponder the possibilities.
