It's Sci-Fi Week on ComicsAlliance, and I'm celebrating with more Cast Party than usual, with a science fiction theme. For this one, I'm focusing on Kim & Kim, the Black Mask sci-fi comic written by Magdalene Visaggio, with art by Eva Cabrera and colors by Claudia Aguirre.

When one of them realizes that, if any of them dies, the rest become even more powerful... well, that can only lead one place. The Forevers is a new ongoing horror title by writer Curt Pires and artist Eric Pfeiffer. The first issue comes out tomorrow, September 14, from Black Mask Studios, and we have a preview for you to check out.

Kim & Kim #2 is out today from Black Mask Studios, written by Magdalene Visaggio with art by Eva Cabrera and colors by Claudia Aguirr, and after reading the new issue, I couldn’t wait any longer to offer my thoughts about the series so far, and what makes it stand out from the current crop of comics.

Debuting in July from Black Mask Studios, Kim & Kim is a rollicking science fiction adventure comic about two young queer women working as dimension-hopping interplanetary bounty hunters. It's written by Magdalene Visaggio, drawn by Eva Cabrera, and colored by Claudia Aguirre, and it promises to be one of the breakout debuts of 2016. ComicsAlliance sat down with Visaggio to talk about sci fi settings, character-building, and that whole messy queer representation thing.

Jade Street Protection Services is an upcoming new series from Black Mask Studios that's billed as a mash-up between The Breakfast Club and Sailor Moon; the story of the delinquent students at an elite private school for magical girls. The release of the neon-pink-tinged cover by artist Annie Wu on social media was enough to create a surge of excitement --- What is it? Who is it? August 5th sees the release of Young Terrorists #1, an explosive political sci-fi thriller by Matt Pizzolo and Amancay Nahuelpan, as a bumper size graphic novella released simultaneously in comic and book stores. When Marvel dropped news of their hip hop variants this week, the recent discussions on race in comics grew even larger. But it turns out, Marvel aren't the only publishers who thought to combine hip hop with their output, as Matt Pizzolo told ComicsAlliance.
