Darkwing Duck was one of those classic cartoons that inexplicably never got a relaunch in comics form. Robotech, GI Joe, and even Thundercats came back before Darkwing Duck did. It took a while, but thanks to Boom! Studios, writer Ian Brill, artist James Silvani, and colorist Andrew Dalhouse, we finally have a Darkwing Duck comic book. Even better than that, we've finally got a good Darkwing Duck comic. The first trade paperback hits comic shops this week, and covers "The Duck Knight Returns." Darkwing retired, but now, like Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight Returns, he must slip on his cowl to save his city. We've got a monster preview after the jump for all you fans of Darkwing.

Don't miss the blockbuster, much heralded return of Darkwing Duck! Once St. Canard's greatest protector, Darkwing Duck was known the world over as "The Terror That Flaps In The Night." Now, mysteriously, DW has not been seen or heard from in well over a year – and St. Canard finds that evil is once again on the rise. But when a nefarious plan threatens everyone, Darkwing Duck knows it's time for the Duck Knight to return! "Let's Get Dangerous!" with Disney and BOOM! Studios as one of Disney's most beloved characters makes a comeback in a brand new, original story collected for the first time in trade paperback!
