It was over a year ago that we first learned The Legend of Korra would get a full series release on Blu-ray, but only now have the details finally bent into shape. You’ll be able to catch Korra’s adventures before 2016 is out, so check out the first of special features and cover art!
Dark Horse unveiled a slate of new titles for the coming year in a presentation at the retaiiler event Comics PRO in Portland on Thursday, as part of its planned 30th anniversary celebrations. In addition to the previously announced free 40-page 30th Anniversary Dark Horse Day Sampler, showcasing classic Dark Horse titles, the publisher will debut new series by fan-favourite creators including Jeff Lemire, Gail Simone and Cullen Bunn.
Comic-Con 2015 taught us that we needn’t say goodbye to The Legend of Korra (or the Avatar-verse) forever, following announcements of a sequel graphic novel, but fans of Bryan Konietzko and Mike DiMartino’s animated epic have even more reason to celebrate. Not only will Korra get a full Blu-ray and DVD release, but so too have we the first key art.
After weeks of limp ratings, the Nickelodeon animated series The Legend of Korra has been passed off to the Nick.com website, leaving many to wonder what the future holds for the series. ComicsAlliance sat down with Varney and Faustino at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about where the series has been, where it’s going, and what its legacy will be.

When the long-awaited follow-up series to Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, premiered on Nickelodeon in April, it was clear that creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko were trying something new. The world of Avatar, with its grounding in East Asian mysticism and dynastic Chinese history, had evolved into a more modern, democratic, 20th-Century culture...
