Scribd Invites Subscribers To Catch Up On Daredevil Comics
Back in February, digital book subscription service Scribd made the rather surprising announcement that it would start offering comics from publishers including Marvel, Valiant, IDW, Boom and others in its $8.99 per month subscription, making it a sort of Netflix for comics (as well as books). Now, Scribd is promoting the actual Netflix's new Daredevil series by recommending some of the comics on its service that can best introduce readers to the character. They've got some pretty good ones. Check out what Scribd is suggesting as a primer after the jump.

In October, DC launched Klarion, Ann Nocenti and Trevor McCarthy's new series re-imagining Jack Kirby's cult-favorite "witch boy". Klarion, in this incarnation, is a magical being from a parallel earth who lands in New York City and proceeds to act in the manner one might expect from a hyper-powered juvenile with a taste for chaos. Nocenti and McCarthy have big plans for their strange little boy. CpmicsAlliance caught up with the creative team at New York Comic-Con to talk about decoding Kirby, planting secret messages in art, and letting the character lead the weirdness.

The Comic-Con 2014 season of big announcements is definitely upon us, and today, DC Comics has two that are very interesting. As for the previous writer of Catwoman, Ann Nocenti, she'll be joined by artist Trevor McCarthy (Batwoman, Nightwing) in a new title, relaunching Jack Kirby's Klarion the Witch Boy for the New 52, with a focus on using magic as a metaphor for technology.

Starting with this week's zero issue, Ann Nocenti is taking over as regular series writer for DC's Catwoman. So far the cover for Catwoman #0 has received the bulk of attention for the issue, but that may soon change. In a USA Today interview, Nocenti talks about Catwoman's background as an orphan and how it shapes who she is as a character, and describes Selina as an "accidental feminist...
