Over the course of the past month or so Valiant Entertainment has been teasing the announcement of a project featuring live action actors, but the exact details have been kept under wraps until now. Today at New York Comic Con, the publisher unveiled a new division known as Valiant Digital, aimed at creating digital-first short film content, and debuted the trailer for a blockbuster six-part webseries titled Ninjak vs The Valiant Universe.

Being trapped on a raft for however long it takes to drift from "Bloodshot Island" to the upcoming "Bloodshot USA" has given the cast of Bloodshot a lot of time to swap war stories. So settle in and get a preview of Bloodshot Reborn #18 and the stories of the Castaways From Bloodshot Island!

With Bloodshot's relaunch in October as the four-issue Bloodshot USA looming large, that raises the question of just how Jeff Lemire and Doug Braithwaite are going to top what they've already done. And now, with a preview of the first issue, we know exactly how. First, they're going to infect the entire population of Manhattan with Bloodshot nanites that'll turn them into mindless killing machines, and second --- oh hell yes --- Ninjak's getting involved.

If you've been keeping up with the events of Bloodshot Reborn, then you already know that Ray Garrison isn't the only person to ever be modified into the unstoppable soldier known as Bloodshot. In the current "Bloodshot Island" story arc, readers have seen prototypes that date back almost a hundred years --- including a dog named Bloodhound, which is a pretty solid contender for the Sensational Character Find of 2016. But in October, it seems that writer Jeff Lemire and artist Doug Braithwaite are taking that idea to the next level with Bloodshot USA, a four-issue miniseries that finds Project Rising Spirit releasing its nanites on New York City --- and turning the entire island of Manhattan into Bloodshots.

This summer, Valiant is flashing forward nearly two-thousand years into the future and checking in on what’s going on with their most popular characters in the year 4001 AD with a series of special one shots. Valiant has released a preview of 4001 AD: Bloodshot #1 by Jeff Lemire, Doug Braithwaite and Brian Reber!

Captain America: Civil War is in cinemas now, and everyone’s raving about its impressive set-pieces, complex themes and snappy banter. Marvel Studios and the Russo Brothers not only managed to make possibly the best Captain America film (and the best Avengers film) so far, but they told an awesome, tightly-plotted story that never felt bloated despite the number of characters demanding the spotlight. So here's the thing about being a genetically engineered super-soldier with nanite-infused blood that can heal you from even the most devastating injuries. The same thing that makes you great at getting your job done at all costs, surviving mission after mission to fight again? It also makes you great for training an even better super-soldier, because they can just keep on hunting you as you adapt and learn to become an even tougher opponent. It is, by all reasoning, the perfect way to make a killing machine. And that, unfortunately, is what Bloodshot's about to find out firsthand when Valiant releases Jeff Lemire, Mico Suayan and David Baron's Bloodshot Reborn #14, which kicks off "Bloodshot Island," a story that introduces us to Deathmate and shows us just how she got so good at killing. Check out a preview, but be warned: There's a Bloodshot Dog in this (which is great), but there's some bad stuff that's happening to him.

Recently, Valiant Entertainment put out a teaser image proclaiming "DEATHMATE IS COMING," leaving everyone to speculate what Deathmate means and what it might have to do with the 1993 Valiant/Image crossover of the same name. It looks now like the new Deathmate has nothing to do with that crossover, because she's not an event, she's a character. I suppose it's possible she's the daughter of Doctor Solar and Void, who loved up on each other in that story, but given who currently owns what, that seems highly unlikely. In fact, Deathmate seems far less human than even those far-out characters. She appears to be a some sort of incredibly cybernetic (or just robotic) killing machine. She'll make her debut as an antagonist in the upcoming Bloodshot Reborn story "Bloodshot Island," which begins in issue #14, written by Jeff Lemire with art by Mico Suayan. The book goes on sale in June.
