Comics are an artist's medium. These are the artists who do it best.

Writing for comics is a uniquely challenging job; writers must navigate between the limitations of the page and the near absolute freedom of the graphic narrative --- without trying to ruin the artist's day. These are the writers whose imagination and craft are perfectly matched.

Comics are often collaborative works, and there's a special synergy that occurs when great creators combine their talents to tell a story; a story that only exists because of their shared voice and vision. For this poll we've focused on the artists and writers on these creative teams, but we're sure those writers and artists would credit their inkers, colorists, letterers, ediitors, and other colleagues for their part in the work, and you're encouraged to consider those contributions in your voting.
