A new report has emerged of trailer footage screened at Brazil Comic-Con has emerged, teasing our first major throwdown between Daredevil and The Punisher.

Most Daredevil Season 2 news of late has focused on Jon Bernthal’s surprise announcement as The Punisher, though plenty of roles remain to be filled when Netflix’s man without fear returns in 2016. A new rumor suggests one such role could be a Boardwalk Empire reunion, as Vincent Piazza joins former co-star Charlie Cox for an unknown role.

Marvel’s renewal of Daredevil Season 2 threw off projections of how Netflix’s Defenders might unfold, but with ol’ Hornhead given a bit more breathing room, Season 2 may yet dive into some fan-favorites absent from the first year. Elektra seemed like the likeliest of targets, and may yet have been confirmed for 2016 via leaked audition videos.

Despite accidentally leaking just hours before the launch, Daredevil’s iconic red suit proved among the more hotly-anticipated aspects of Marvel’s first Netflix series. Its finale debut was met with somewhat less enthusiasm, though now Marvel has revealed new concept art and an in-depth analysis of designer Ryan Meinerding’s take on the famed costume.

Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight has previously spoken of his interest in a second Netflix season, though the Marvel drama has since revealed its renewal plans without DeKnight at the helm. Now, series star Charlie Cox has his own thoughts on where Daredevil Season 2 might go, including Defenders ties, Avengers crossover, and even The Punisher.

The breakout success of Marvel’s Netflix Daredevil left many a fan uncertain when we’d see ol’ Hornhead again, given the Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist series leading into The Defenders.
