Dynamite is rebooting the classic Gold Key comic, Magnus: Robot Fighter, and has released new covers from its upcoming Magnus. This new version is written by Kyle Higgins with art by Jorge Fornés, and we can recognize some key differences from the original right away. To start with, Magnus is no longer wearing a mini-dress. No big surprise there --- most reboots over the years have given him pants. But secondly, this take on Magnus is a woman.

Ted Sallis was trying to recreate the super-soldier, but he ended up transformed into a speechless monster who wanders the swamp. That's the origin of Man-Thing, but it's retold in this preview of Man-Thing #1 with a new pace and attitude, courtesy of legendary young adult horror novelist R.L. Stine and artist German Peralta. This is clearly a flashback, because the synopsis lets us know that the main story takes place in the present, with Man-Thing having regained the power of speech.

Watch Six Comic Artists Go To Japan (And Shop For Comics)
If you had to guess what six comic book artists would do first on a trip to Tokyo, you might feel there were just too many choices to narrow it down. It's a big city with a lot of history and a huge number of tourist destinations, from the culture to the food. But then you'd probably remember that you're talking about people in comics, and then you'd realize that of course the first thing they're going to do is go shopping for manga. That, at least, is the impression that I got from watching a video from Felix Comic Art, a company dealing in original pages, that took six of its artists on a trip to Tokyo last month and documented the entire thing in a fun little ten-minute travelogue.

Some of it's new, some of it's old, some of it's created by working professionals, some of it's created by future stars, some of it's created by talented fans, and some of it's endearingly silly. All of it's awesome.
