Soon to be four seasons into Marvel’s Netflix Defenders with the release of Luke Cage, the comic company offers little insight into its scheduling process beyond two seasons a year. At one point, Marvel even thought Iron Fist should follow Jessica Jones, of which Luke Cage’s showrunner now says they opted to “follow the momentum.”

Marvel TV brought a heavy bag of goodies to Comic-Con 2016, including first looks at Netflix’s Iron Fist and FX X-Men series Legion, but will New York do one better? We’ll find out, as both series are due for panel treatment at New York Comic-Con 2016, along with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4, and some new goodies from Marvel Animation.

The Punisher remains the most elusive of all Marvel’s Netflix series, as-yet unscheduled and unconfirmed to take any part in The Defenders crossover. Still, Frank Castle’s solo series may yet be moving forward, casting Chronicles of Narnia alum Ben Barnes a mysterious role.

There’s a long road between here and Marvel’s Netflix Defenders, let alone a third season of Daredevil, but one has to wonder how the Man Without Fear fares under a team dynamic. Even better, Charlie Cox teases that Matt Murdock will come out of The Defenders a changed man, picking up a few team lessons as he heads into Season 3.

If any Marvel movie director had a take on long-awaited crossovers, it’d be Guardians of the Galaxy boss James Gunn. The Vol. 2 director is only now preparing to share his interstellar heroes with The Avengers, but even Gunn doubts we’ll see the other Earth-based TV heroes taking part in the great Infinity War.

Weeks after its first official teaser at Comic-Con, Marvel’s Netflix Luke Cage got us all Misty with a proper trailer, teasing some snakelike foes and familiar faces for the Harlem hero. We couldn’t help diving way deeper into every frame of footage, so what secrets of Luke Cage hit the streets?

If you've stuck it out with Marvel's mobile game Avengers Academy, you've likely been waiting very patiently for the promised story update that would bring new content, characters and areas of the map. As of today, those dreams have become reality, as it's confirmed that players will soon get access to The Incredible Hulk and the Gamma Zone. In an interview today on Marvel.com, Avengers Academy's Allen Warner reveals that the latest update will bring The Hulk and --- rather surprisingly --- Tigra to the game, as well as unlocking the Gamma Zone area of the map that has been off-limits since the game's launch. The addition of The Hulk is especially exciting for this particular reporter, as he is voiced by my hero and idol, the one and only John Cena.

We’ve seen Marvel change its plans often enough, between shifted movie release dates and additional seasons/spinoffs for the Netflix series, so might a Misty Knight series be waiting in the wings of Luke Cage? The Marvel hero has a strong-armed history all her own, and executive producers are more than excited for the possibility.

More than just the teamup of Marvel’s four (five?) Netflix superheroes, The Defenders will represent a coming-together of all the major casts from those worlds. As such, you can definitely expect one of Daredevil’s biggest supporting players to put in an appearance, and Nick Fury himself, Samuel L. Jackson might not be too thrilled about it.
