We don’t yet know if future Star Wars movies will deepen our understanding of the Force any, but Star Wars Rebels Season 3 definitely aims to make things … well, bigger. A new Season 3 clip introduces the mysteriously neutral Force entity “The Bendu,” voiced by none other than Doctor Who star Tom Baker.

Even by the admittedly kooky standards of Doctor Who, the adventures of the Third Doctor are remarkable for their idiosyncrasy. As portrayed by actor Jon Pertwee in the early 1970s, the Third Doctor spent much of his tenure stranded in Britain in a single time period, working alongside the military, rather than travelling across all of time and space. That's the era revisited in the new Doctor Who: New Adventures With The Third Doctor series launching this week from writer Paul Cornell, artist Christopher Jones, and colorist Hi-Fi, with the Doctor trading in his bright blue Tardis for his bright yellow roadster, Bessie. Jones spoke to ComicsAlliance about working with Cornell, and his research as an artist, and shared an exclusive look at the art process from inks to colors.

Doctor Who has been saving Earth long enough that a few episodes have actually been lost to history (and poor storage), but at least one fateful adventure is getting a major update. The BBC will re-release 1966 outing “The Power Of The Daleks” this fall, reconstructed as a six-part animated production with original audio and film clips.

After a successful miniseries run with the character last year, Cavan Scott is reuniting with Doctor Who's Ninth Doctor --- brought to the screen by Christopher Eccleston --- for a second series from Titan Comics, this time on an ongoing basis, and joined by artist Adriana Melo and colorist Matheus Lopes. The first two issues are already out, and the third is on the way, but we wanted to go back to the start with Scott to learn a little bit more about his ideas and his vision for the series. Titan Comics has had great success with its Doctor Who comics of recent years, and with so many incarnations of the time-travelling adventurer to choose from, there are so many stories to be told. This August sees another legendary iteration get their own solo comic spotlight as The Third Doctor gets his own series.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who’s iconic robotic enemies The Cybermen, and Titan Comics is going all out to celebrate with one of its biggest crossovers yet. When The Cybermen kidnap the ousted Gallifreyan leader Rassilon and get their hands on time-travel capabilities, it’s going to take four modern incarnations of The Doctor to stop them.

Doctor Who himself may be down for the count until December or so, but the new YA spinoff Class may keep Whovians satiated for now. Meet the full cast of the new series, and get a first synopsis!

We won’t see Doctor Who again until the 2016 Christmas Special, even then without perhaps meeting the next companion to follow Jenna Coleman’s Clara, though he or she has apparently already been cast. Peter Capaldi says he’s already begun working with the franchise’s newest actor, perhaps precipitating a formal announcement soon.

Doctor Who will keep silent for the better part of 2016, airing nothing but a Christmas Special, but undergo major transition in 2017 with the addition of a new companion and Steven Moffat’s retirement. Even more, Peter Capaldi has been asked to stay on amid all the chaos, but still isn’t sure of a Doctor Who future without Steven Moffat.
