Watch Six Comic Artists Go To Japan (And Shop For Comics)
If you had to guess what six comic book artists would do first on a trip to Tokyo, you might feel there were just too many choices to narrow it down. It's a big city with a lot of history and a huge number of tourist destinations, from the culture to the food. But then you'd probably remember that you're talking about people in comics, and then you'd realize that of course the first thing they're going to do is go shopping for manga. That, at least, is the impression that I got from watching a video from Felix Comic Art, a company dealing in original pages, that took six of its artists on a trip to Tokyo last month and documented the entire thing in a fun little ten-minute travelogue.

Warriors & Weirdness: Should You Be Reading 'Rumble'?
Rumble is a fight comic by writer John Arcudi and artist James Harren. Published by Image Comics, the first issue came out in December 2014. It’s a book that’s hard to describe, but is essentially about a scarecrow monster with a giant sword, his quest for vengeance, and the hapless humans who get caught up in the melee.

A great comic book cover is an advertisement, a work of art, a statement, and an invitation. A great comic book cover is a glimpse of another world through a canvas no bigger than a window pane. In Best Comic Book Covers Ever (This Month), we look back over some of the most eye-catching, original and exceptional covers of the past month. 2015 got off to an impressive start with stunning compositions from Riley Rossmo, James Harren, and Ken Niimura; wonderful character portraits from Marko Djurdjevic, Becky Cloonan, and Kaare Andrews; amazing colors from Darwyn Cooke and Artyom Trakhanov; and a really fun He-Man piece from Stjepan Sejic.

Around here, New York Comic-Con marks the end of convention season, capping off a long summer of announcements, reveals, and other assorted fun. As such, it's also one of the last big places for fans to get amazing sketches and commission pieces from artists, who tend to cap off the season with some truly amazing art. You may already know the amazing James Harren from his work on Dark Horse's BPRD and Conan. If you don't, get ready to have your mind blown by a few of the commissions that he did at NYCC, including a bullet-riddled Wolverine, a Right Hook of Doom from Hellboy, and Deadpool rocking a gun so large that even Cable thinks that it might be a little excessive.

In the final few hours before San Diego Comic-Con opened its doors to the public for Preview Night on Wednesday, Image Comics Expo took place in an upstairs ballroom at the nearby San Diego Bayfront Hilton, where the publisher welcomed a group of press, creators, and fans to watch as the company announced, discussed and otherwise promote a great variety of upcoming Image titles.
