Jem and the Holograms: Infinite Takes Both Bands to a New World
Back when the end of Jem and the Holograms was announced, series writer Kelly Thompson promised that something new and very exciting was on the way for everybody's favorite dayglo pop stars. And Friday at Emerald City Comicon we learned just what that is. Launching in June 2017, Jem And The Holograms: Infinite is a bi-weekly event split into two comics, both written by Thompson.

Since it launched in March of 2015, Jem and the Holograms has met with a level of acclaim and popularity that few could have foreseen for the reboot of a 1980s TV animation property. In fact, it has surpassed the original show in the minds of many fans, as well as attracting readers who weren't even alive when the cartoon was on TV. But all things must come to an end, and IDW has revealed that April's Jem and the Holograms #26 will be the final issue.

If you've been keeping an eye on IDW's Twitter account, you've probably seen the teaser images released in advance of today's release of Kelly Thompson and Jenn St-Onge's Jem and the Misfits. The title is set to give the Holograms' eternal rivals a stage of their own, and each of the teaser images has revealed a single member of the cast, along with a full profile of each character. But now, with the book hitting shelves and the Misfits ready to make some mischief and take their places as the Queens of Rock 'n' Roll, we're pleased to present the full image by St-Onge, along with some commentary on the series and its direction from Thompson.

Ladies' Night is a comics book club for women that grew into a collective determined to make their own comics. That vision was realized in the form of a series of anthologies, with three volumes currently in print. Now the fourth Ladies' Night anthology is raising money on Kickstarter. The project is a huge undertaking, and one that has built up a dedicated and passionate following. Back Pages spoke to editors Lauren Burke, Megan Byrd, Summer Sparacin and Caitlin Rosberg about what to expect from volume four, "Eat it Up!"

Archie Reveals 25 Variant Covers For 'Betty And Veronica' #1
It might seem hard to believe, but there was once a time when Archie Comics was the only publisher that didn't do variant covers. If memory serves --- and I might be wrong about this --- it took until 2010 for them to do their first one ever on Jughead #200. Now, though, with the high profile relaunches that we've seen over the past year, it looks like they're making up for lost time. When Betty & Veronica #1 hits shelves on July 20, it's coming with twenty-five different covers, including covers from Colleen Coover, Bilquis Evely, Chip Zdarsky, Veronica Fish and many more.
