It’s time to play the speculation game. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder and star Jesse Eisenberg recently sat down for an interview where they coyly revealed that the actor was almost cast in a different role in the film before he signed on to play Lex Luthor. And while they won’t tell us who Eisenberg almost played, they do offer a few more tidbits about his actual role in the film and tease a rather exciting sequence involving his hair.

Noted Comic-Con hater, actor and apparently now writer, Jesse Eisenberg, appeared on NBC’s Today to promote his upcoming book of short stories “Bream Gives Me Hiccups” and talk eventually turned to Batman vs. Superman. It was at this point that Eisenberg, who plays Lex Luthor in the upcoming superhero movie, assured us all that not only is Batman vs. Superman a “phenomenal” movie, but that’s it’s also a “very serious” movie. To which, the entire universe responded with a resounding, no freaking duh.

Last week we got an extended sneak peek at Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice via the Comic-Con trailer, but that won’t be the trailer you see in theaters — IMAX theaters, to be more specific. We haven’t heard much about what Superman mega-villain Lex Luthor will be like in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Rumor has it that Batman will connect with Luthor in his quest to battle Superman, but — aside from the fact that Luthor will be bald — that’s about all we know so far. Jesse Eisenberg has opened up a bit about what we can expect from the character, and promises that his version will not be silly. So that’s good, right?

'Suicide Squad' Cast Confirmed!
We’ve been hearing lots of rumors and reports about the cast of the ‘Suicide Squad’ movie over the last couple of months, with Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Tom Hardy, Jared Leto, and more names circling DC’s super-villain project. Much of what’s been reported has often been delivered with a question mark, but today brings official confirmation of the full lineup of David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’—and some of the final casting choices might surprise you, given that they aren’t exactly what we’d heard previously.

Jesse Eisenberg On Playing Lex Luthor
In a new interview in Total Film magazine, actor Jesse Eisenberg, who will portray Lex Luthor in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, gives the movie and its writers more than just a ringing endorsement. He says he'd do the movie for no money at all if it was some low-budget flick. "I really liked it on its own terms. I would do it if it was for free and it was tiny." That seems like quite a stamp of approval. Sure, actors have to talk up their movies for promotion, but saying, "I'd do this for no pay" is a fairly extreme endorsement. And it turns out from the rest of the interview that Eisenberg isn't exactly a fan of the superhero genre -- but he may be coming around.
