Sail The High Seas In 'Lobster Johnson: The Pirate's Ghost' #1
Lobster Johnson stories are always fun, whether it's in the present day where he continues his adventures as a ghost, the past as a pulp hero, or in-between as a fictional character within the Mignolaverse. He's someone you can pretty much do anything with. In that vein, ComicsAlliance has an exclusive preview of Mike Mignola, John Arcudi and Tonci Zonjic's Lobster Johnson: The Pirate's Curse #1, on sale next week from Dark Horse.

A new Lobster Johnson one-shot is always a cause for celebration, and the pulp hero always gives Mike Mignola and his collaborators the opportunity to expand the history of the Hellboy universe while telling rollicking adventure stories in the great American tradition. Written by Mignola and John Arcudi, with art by Stephen Green and colors by Dave Stewart, Lobster Johnson: Garden of Bones sees the hero investigating a possible zombie uprising, and we have an exclusive preview from the one-shot.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that everyone out there is already fully aware that Mike Mignola is the stuff, especially when it comes to Hellboy. The long-running horror-adventure franchise that kicked off into its own universe in 1994 is one of those rare, amazing comics that has been published pretty consistently for over 20 years and has never been bad. Like, not once. It's pretty amazing. But if you're one of those people who knows intellectually that Hellboy and his assorted spin-offs are great but has never actually tried it, good news. Dark Horse has launched a sale on digital Mike Mignola books, dropping 'em down to a buck an issue. And should you need a little guidance on what to pick up, well, that's what I'm here for.
