We’re just hours away from learning how Patrick J. Adams’ mystery DC hero will take us into Legends of Tomorrow Season 2, but those speculating the figure could be an early (and thus unrestricted) identity of Green Lantern are in for a blackest night. Not only do executive producers debunk the Alan Scott rumor, but Green Lantern remains off the table for TV outings.

We’ve already seen on a number of occasions that DC doesn’t share characters well between the movie and TV branches (with the exception of The Flash), but could Legends of Tomorrow at least stretch its timey-wimey magic to bring us a future Batman? Producers think it’s a stretch, but then again, if fans made Supergirl and Flash’s ice cream power hour happen …

Arrow fans have noticed more steadily that any and all Suicide Squad characters shared with the upcoming film have been “taken off the table” through various means, seemingly for good. Manu Bennett’s Deathstroke still draws breath, but may now be “tied up in another DC project” and equally unable to return, according to producer Marc Guggenheim.

It took a village to raise Legends of Tomorrow out of Arrow and The Flash, but after taking off in its January 21 premiere, don’t expect our DC Guardians to return anytime soon. Producers confirm that neither Arrow nor Flash will crossover with the Legends again this season, as well the likelihood of an expanded second season.

Arrow Season 4 managed to up its directing credentials with guest spots for names like Lexi Alexander and James Bamford, a trend that looks to continue into January’s Legends of Tomorrow as well. Bank on The Atom reaching some Innerspace, as veteran director Joe Dante will helm an episode of the new DC drama.

We now know the title of October’s Arrow Season 4 premiere, and it look like Malcolm’s Season 1 naming suggestion has finally stuck.

Marc Guggenheim, writer/producer for The CW's Arrow and The Flash TV shows -- and various comics including Arrow and The Flash -- will oversee an animated Vixen series set in the same universe as his other superhero shows, the network announced at the Television Critics' Association press tour on Sunday. Vixen will air on the CW's digital platform CW Seed this fall as a six episode mini-series.

Arrow producer Marc Guggenheim posted the image above to his Twitter account yesterday, along with the vague message, "Coming to Arrow season 2." What did he mean exactly? The actual character Rex Mason, also known as The Element Man? A company named for him? A talking van? He didn't specify, so we'll just have to wait and see.
