May is a big month for Marvel as its latest event Secret Empire gets in the swing of things with three issues in the space of one month. There's also a bevy of new number one issues, including a bolstering of the X-Men line with Cable, Generation X, Jean Grey and Weapon X and more debuts including Luke Cage and Secret Warriors.

Every month, comic publishers release their solicitation announcements to provide information to readers and retailers on comics that are coming out in three months’ time, but there’s so much information dropped at once that a lot can slip through the cracks. This month in Marvel's April solicitations, some long lost character make big leading role returns, Marvel gambles big on the success of its latest event, and Jubilee goes to the mall.

April also sees the launch of Black Panther and The Crew and Nick Fury, and major developments in the Captain America titles that seem to point towards Marvel's big 2017 event, Secret Empire.
