This week, there’s a Luthor on trial in the court of law, and another on trial in the court of public opinion, and Supergirl must decide who she can trust. Also, Metallo returns, and romance may be in the air. “Luthors” was directed by Tawnia McKiernan from a script by Robert Rovner and Cindy Lichtman.

Supergirl had already promised the return of one metallic baddie in February’s “Luthors,” but might an armored Lex be far behind? That’s at least partly the insinuation in next weeks’ trailer, as the famous Luthor power armor is teased among other weapons.

Supergirl has an understandable habit of introducing characters once or twice removed from the core Superman cast, but the arrival of the big guy himself will bring another notable DC name. Season 2 confirms that Metallo will square off against Supergirl and her cousin, as played by Frederick Schmidt.

Artist Phil Postma, who recently brought his toon style to a September variant cover on IDW's Judge Dredd series, has posted a series of images to his blog of some sadly fictional cerealsSuperman fans may soon be clamoring to make real. Cereal manufacturers Kellogg's, General Mills and Post will want to pay heed, too, as the artist's design work stands head and shoulders above most super market aisle fair. Most CA readers probably couldn't walk past boxes bearing these designs without filling a shopping cart... or three.
