Mondo Opens Pre-Orders For Marceline The Vampire Queen Statue
Everyone loves Marceline The Vampire Queen, Adventure Time's good natured but short tempered rock goddess/actual vampire. Her lackadaisical attitude and sweet bass riffs have turned her into a sort of indie icon, so its no surprise that Mondo has created a wicked statue in her honor, available to pre-order from today.

Mondo's been king of limited print and soundtrack game for years, but it's only recently that the Austin-based company has expanded its reach to the realm of figures and statues. For the last two San Diego Comic-Cons, Mondo's managed to surprise a lot of collectors with what its been able to accomplish in such a small timeframe. This year's new products were no exception, and once again showed Mondo knows what it's doing when curating limited collectibles. One advantage Mondo has over other companies in this oeuvre is having a massive library of art from its print side of the company. Though there are plenty of original statues and figures coming from Mondo, new prints just might catch Brock Otterbacher's, Creative Director of Toys and Collectibles at Mondo, eye and inspire that arm of Mondo to craft a new piece. Such was the case for the Matt Taylor Harley Quinn print from SDCC 2014. The work so perfectly showed off Harley in a new way that was still right in line with her character.

Mondo To Debut 'Over The Garden Wall' Soundtrack Vinyl At SDCC 2016
Cartoon Network's Over The Garden Wall raised the bar and set a new standard of what can be achieved in children's animation with its thoughtfully endearing and endlessly charming story about two brothers lost a magical land filled with monsters talking birds and pumpkin men. One of the best things about Over The Garden Wall was its soundtrack and score which captured the mood of the story perfectly and provided original numbers such as "Potatoes & Molasses" which remain some of the most memorable sequences from the series. Fans wondering if an official release would eventually come can now wait no longer as Mondo will be releasing a special edition of the soundtrack on vinyl, debuting later this month at San Diego Comic Con.

Last July, Mondo hit San Diego Comic-Con hard with the first looks at a number of all-new toys and statues from its collectibles division. Though the Austin-based art gallery built its reputation on curating original screen prints for films, recent years have seen Mondo expand its horizons to clothing, music and figures. Many of the collectibles on display last year were in their earliest stages, and merely shown to give a glimpse into the future of Mondo's plans. While figures like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Baby Hellboy have since been announced, many of us have been waiting for the Scott Pilgrim vs The World Ramona Flowers collectible figure to arrive. Today, we can exclusively announce the details and offer the first official images of Mondo's Ramona Flowers collectible figure.

Gather round, friends, for a story of the distant past. Once upon a time, you could rely on Konami to produce a new Castlevania game almost every year, taking the Belmont clan through the strange, side-scrolling creature of chaos that was Dracula's castle. Sadly, it seems like those days are over. Even with 2014's bizarre Dracula-in-Modern-Times Lords of Shadow 2, we haven't gotten a proper "classic" installment since 2010, and with Konami's move away from console gaming, it doesn't seem like we're going to get one any time soon. If, however, you still have love in your heart for the act of beating the undead into dust with a whip - and who doesn't? - then I have some pretty great news. The folks over at Mondo have apparently decided to expand into the world of video games, and they're doing it with a series of new prints that includes a pair of Konami Classics: Silent Hill by Silent Hill by Sam Wolfe Connelly, and Castlevania by Becky Cloonan.

Eight years is certainly long enough for the bloom to wear off the rose a bit, but we can all agree that 2008's The Dark Knight is still at least a pretty good movie, right? I mean, Batman suplexes a truck in that film, and while there are certainly other concerns to be taken into account when you're trying to decide the merits of a piece of media, you can't get around the fact that Batman suplexes a truck, and that has to count for something. Point being, if you're a fan what Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, and Heath Ledger did in that movie and you're also going to Emerald City Comic-Con in Seattle next weekend, April 7-10, you might want to go ahead and clear a spot on your wall, because Mondo is releasing its latest print, in which Jock takes on The Dark Knight with predictably awesome results.

MondoBalls Bring Back Madballs With a Modern Twist
Madballs were one of the most ridiculous things to come about during the heyday of '80s toy craziness. Pound Puppies made sense. Police Academy: The Animated Series' action figures made sense, at least in the way that all R-rated movies that got animated shows and action figure lines in the '80s made sense. Madballs were just these gross, little balls with monstrous faces. You could throw them at your siblings/cousins/imaginary friends and they wouldn't hurt a whole lot because they were made of foam. You could squeeze them, and they'd return to form in seconds. That's it. Even today, I struggle to understand why I find them appealing, but I do. They speak to me. Apparently they speak to Mondo, too, because the Alamo art house is bringing Madballs back to fill that little screaming baseball-sized hole in your heart.

Mondo Kicks Off 2016 With Two New Prints From The Dark Knight
Since the close of last year, it's been all quiet on the Mondo front. After the bit Marvel art show and subsequent print sale in mid-December, poster and art junkies have been eagerly awaiting the first glimpse at Mondo's plans for 2016. Not only is the Austin art house bringing its first new pieces out today, they also happen to be based on a little movie you might have heard of called The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight, and Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy in general, have long been a favorite for Mondo's artists. There have been more than a dozen different prints featuring the Nolan-helmed features since Batman Begins arrived a decade ago. While you might think there aren't many new things to do with a poster for The Dark Knight, that's not the case, and these new pieces by Laurent Durieux and Mike Mitchell show there's still plenty of creative territory to be mined.

Mondo's Baby Hellboy Makes Even the Apocalypse Look Adorable
As the end of the year approaches, the harbinger of mankind's doom makes his appearance. He is no pale rider; he's clad in crimson instead. There is no horse to signal his arrival, but he brings with him a stone appendage cast in red. He's also really adorable. After announcing the Baby Hellboy figure at San Diego Comic-Con this past summer, Mondo's finally opened up pre-orders for the pancake-loving bringer of our extinction. Created in conjunction with Mike Mignola, Baby Hellboy is the first sixth-scale figure Mondo hopes to release within the Hellboy universe, but more importantly, it's the first time the itty-bitty version of the monster hunter has been brought to life.
