Jennifer Connelly to Play Villain in ‘Alita: Battle Angel’
You may ask yourself, “Why on earth would Jennifer Connelly, of all people, sign on for a James Cameron-produced Robert Rodriguez film based on a manga?!” — in which case I assume you’ve forgotten all about the gloriously bonkers and delightfully terrible film A Winter’s Tale. Wacky Akiva Goldsman fever dreams aside, surely there’s a logical explanation, like maybe she looked at the cast list, which includes Christoph Waltz and recent awards season favorite Mahershala Ali. Maybe Jennifer Connelly loves Moonlight — see, there’s a silver lining to everything.

Frank Miller: 'The 1940s-style Gentleman Needs To Make A Comeback'
For anyone who still had a little doubt in his or her mind about whether Frank Miller -- the man who wrote and drew Sin City, which is basically all about tough guys fightin' over dames (and also lady ninjas hanging out with prostitutes) -- is nostalgic for a perceived golden age of dudeliness, look no further than his new 20Q interview in Playboy. One of the interview's wrap-up questions is about whether Miller prefers an old-fashioned ideal of masculinity, and Miller answers that he'd like to see "the 1940s-style gentleman" make a comeback.

MPAA Bans Eva Green 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For' Poster
The Motion Picture Association of America is less than pleased about a new poster for directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller's new Sin City film adaptation, A Dame to Kill For. The poster depicts the title character, Ava Lord, played by actress Eva Green, wearing a sheer gown that doesn't really cover all that much. Specifially, the MPAA complained about the "curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown.” To see all that in the full poster, click through.

While not quite as difficult to believe as a 25-years-later sequel to Tron, it's still pretty surprising to lay eyes on the honest-to-god trailer for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the sequel to the 2005 hit by Robert Rodriguez based on Frank Miller's black-and-white Dark Horse graphic novel series. A prequel (of sorts... the timelines are complex, ok) to the first film, A Dame to Kill For stars

Robert Rodriguez Teases Cast and Format of ‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’
Just a week after Robert Rodriguez confirmed that he and Frank Miller would finally re-team for a second Sin City movie, the director has been talking about what to expect from A Dame To Kill For, including the structure, the actors who'll return for a second outing, and why it's taken so long to start work on the follow-up to the 2005 cult classic...
