Cartoonists Brittney Sabo and Victoria G. Elliott have created a delightful event for the folks of Tumblr: Witchsona Week. Everyone and anyone is encouraged to create a witch persona for themselves --- a personal avatar that presents the version of a witch they want to be or see themselves as --- and the results are fantastic. Since this is the second annual week of this sort, artists who created characters for the previous Witchsona week are encouraged to explain what's new with their witchy avatars. There's a broad range of styles and attitudes amongst the artists represented, and a lot of talent on display.

Ah, Mario Kart. Nothing has provided more people with hours of enjoyable entertainment and friendship-ruining arguments over who threw that Blue Shell and why you had to wait until I was just about to cross the finish line you unbelievable dick, that's so cheap, you need to leave, no I'm not kidding, get out. Uh... sorry. Point is, Mario Kart rules, and now we have one more reason to love it: It inspired Tumblr user jetgreguar to kick off a fun project where artists drew self-portraits as Mario Kart racers! The results have been fantastic, so we've picked out a few of our favorites that we want to see battling it out on Rainbow Road.

When the news broke about the announcement of a Jem and the Holograms movie, ComicsAlliance promised to stay on top of the story, and today, just in case the very idea of a Hollywood adaptation of Jem having its roles crowdsourced via Tumblr wasn't weird enough, we have now reached the second wrinkle of the story: Christy Marx, the original creator of Jem and the Holograms, won't be involved in th

Another version, from which someone removed the URL and copyright info, has been seen nearly 600,000 times,

What happens when you mix Steve Rogers, Harvey Pekar and James Kochalka together? We didn't realize when we set out to list our favorite comic books of 2012 that it had been such a fun year to be a fan of the medium that we all love so much. The last twelve months offered readers a wide variety of work ranging from the most crowd-pleasing superhero epics to the most idiosyncratic of indies; the return of much missed mangaka and the emergence of exciting new talent; a new crowd-

Since 1978 fans around the globe have been blasting away at the pixelated aliens of Taito's Space Invaders and its numerous sequels and re-makes. Like most classic arcade games, the title is more about fundamental gameplay and strategy than story, meaning few (if any) took a breath from blasting their falling foes to ponder their motivations...

‘Calvin And Hobbes’ Come Alive In Animated GIFs
With roughly ten years worth of reading material at their disposal, Calvin and Hobbes fans have long been content with the fact that Bill Watterson's beloved series stands on its own without licensed merchandise or an animated series. After all, Watterson's vision for his material has remained pure, and that purity can translate into an undiluted reading experience...
