And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics.
Comic fans and video game fans are two groups that share an awful lot of overlap, and webcomics like Penny Arcade and artists like Zac Gorman, have made all kinds of comics about video games for the internet, but what about actual comic books? In a previous video, we told you about five video games that deserved comics, but this week, it’s all about some of the very best video games that have made the leap from consoles to comic pages.

The great thing about Assassin's Creed is that the long history built into the games' plot about the centuries-long war between the Assassins and Templars means that you can take your story just about anywhere --- and any time. Well, actually, no, that's not true; the actual great thing about Assassin's Creed is all the gymnastic stabbing, but aside from that, it's all the different stories you can tell.
And given that the games have been a pretty solid hit for Ubisoft, it makes sense that they're going more places than ever --- and when the next two chapters of Assassin's Creed Chronicles hit at the beginning of 2016, they're taking characters created by comic's own Brenden Fletcher, Cameron Stewart and Karl Kerschl with them.

I have devoted a pretty significant portion of my life to rescuing Princess Peach of the Mushroom Kingdom, and, as I have noted so many times before, I grew up a Street Fighter partisan, with Sakura being one of my all-time favorite characters. As a result, I am immediately and automatically down for anything that combines those two characters, no questions asked. It's my weak point, like if I was a bad guy from House of the Dead with a glowing red crack in my armor.
But as a result, I am the exact target audience for the art of Jorge Vargas, who is doing exactly what the Internet loves the most. In a series of pretty fantastic art pieces, he's mashing up video game characters like Peach, Sakura, Pikachu, Kirby, and Mega Man's dog Rush. Check 'em out below!
