The long-promised "Women's Revolution" in wrestling may finally take root this weekend. Sunday February 12 is the Elimination Chamber live event on the WWE Network, the first branded Pay-Per-View (a colloquial word these days, but one that's stuck) for Smackdown Live in 2017. Of the seven matches announced for the show, three are women's singles matches. In fact, there's only one men's singles match, with the other three being multi-man gimmick matches, including the titular main event in the elimination chamber. And that's a big deal.

There are several times in my life where I have tried to stop buying action figures, for all the reasons that you'd expect. They're expensive, they take up space, and while I'm not above making Storm Shadow drop a Stone Cold Stunner on Batman while I'm on the phone and need something to do with my hands, it's not like I actually spend enough time playing with them to keep them form just sitting on my desk gathering dust.
But every time I try to get out, something brings me back in, and nothing has ever gotten me as hard as the new line of Ninja Superstars figures from Playmates, in which WWE Superstars are combined with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And they are amazing.

The intersection of comics and wrestling has often led to iffy results, despite a huge overlap of fans. But recently, with work like SuperPro K.O., Headlocked, and Ringside, wrestling comics have been looking a lot more promising. So it’s unsurprising that WWE is trying to get back in the game with a new line of comics from Boom Studios.
So what books would I like to see from the WWE line? I’m not going to concern myself with who Boom would actually be able to hire. I’m throwing the door wide open and basing my picks entirely on who would make the best possible wrestling comics, and which comics I’d like to see them make.
