'Arrow' Star Stephen Amell May Feud With WWE's Stardust
If you watched WWE's Monday Night Raw this week, then you may have noticed an unexpected guest appearance from Stephen Amell, the star of TV's Arrow. That in itself isn't unusual --- Amell's a wrestling fan, and WWE loves very few things more than having celebrities in the front row for its shows --- but what is unusual is that he became a small part of the show, getting into a verbal altercation with former Tag Team Champion Stardust. Stardust would go on to call Amell out in a "Backstage Fallout" segment, and now sources including the Wrestling Observer are reporting that this could all be leading up to a guest appearance for Amell at this year's SummerSlam, possibly actually stepping into the ring to wrestle Stardust.

If either of them ever come back to the squared circle any time soon, former WWE superstars CM Punk (a.k.a. Phil Brooks) and Dave Bautista may have to tussle over ownership of Drax the Destroyer. Marvel announced at C2E2 in Punk's hometown of Chicago this weekend that he is the co-writer of a new Drax ongoing series set to debut late this year. (Bautista played the character in last summer's Guardians of the Galaxy movie.) The publisher unveiled an Ed McGuinness-drawn cover to the first issue, but hasn't yet named the artist for the series, nor Punk's co-writer.

Since his well-publicized walk-out from WWE the night after last year's Royal Rumble event, there's really only been one place where fans were sure they could see former WWE Champion CM Punk: Comics. Not only was it recently announced that he'd be writing for both Marvel and Vertigo, but until the story caught up with his real-life departure from the company, he was a regular character in WWE Superstars, the truly bizarre, nominally wrestling-themed comic being published by Papercutz. Now, it seems that is no longer the case. As reported by WrestlingInc.com, WWE is removing Punk from the comic for all future printings, presumably replacing him with a different character in what has to be one of the weirdest retcons of all time.

If you were wondering whether the existence of a Jem movie and an impeding Gallery Edition hardcover of The Dark Knight Returns were in fact evidence that I had gained mysterious, reality-warping powers that allow me to control the world as we know it, yes. Yes I have. I am master of reality now. I mean, how else can you explain the fact that last night, Magneto showed up to challenge Wolverine to

I'm afraid I have some bad news for the roughly 6.5 billion of you who are not Chris Sims: It turns out that they're just producing media for me now. I know, I was surprised too, but how else do you explain the actual existence of Scooby-Doo: WrestleMania Mystery, a feature-length, direct-to-video film in which the gang from Mystery, Incorporated and their talking dog team up with the superstars o

I've never written fan-fiction. Okay, well, now that I think about it, that's actually a convenient lie. When I was 12, I started writing a novella-length sequel to Army of Darkness and gave up after the first chapter, and there are definitely a couple of Ask Chris columns that only avoid being straight up fanfic because I was writing them for my actual job and I can tenuously claim they were paro

As Hans Gruber once said, Christmas is "the season of miracles," and there is nothing more miraculous than the present Warner Bros. has just given us. After announcing all the way back in August of 2012 that there was going to be an animated crossover movie between Scooby-Doo and World Wrestling Entertainment, it seems that my dream of a better world is perilously close to becoming reali

I've loved pro wrestling almost as long as I've loved comics, but it takes a lot to get me interested in those two things joining together. Books like Super Pro KO and The Legend of Ricky Thunder are absolutely fantastic, don't get me wrong, but when it comes to making comics that are actually based on the real-life stars of World Wrestling Entertainment, I've been burned pretty much every single

Look, everybody: If you announce that you're doing a WWE comic that's written by my all-time favorite wrestler, Mick Foley, then I'm already going to buy it. You don't need to add anything else, like, say, a cover that's an homage to Fantastic Four #51's classic "This Man, This Monster" featuring CM Punk in the role of the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing. That's just going over the top. And
