‘X-Force’ Movie Could be R-Rated Thanks to ‘Deadpool’ Success
Just a few days after Deadpool’s record-breaking haul at the box-office (the biggest opening for a film released in February, the biggest opening for an R-rated film, the biggest opening weekend in 20th Century Fox history and the biggest opening of any X-Men film), studios are already adapting to the massive success of an R-rated superhero film and adjusting accordingly. X-Men and Deadpool producer Simon Kinberg has said that while he doesn’t see the X-Men universe changing much after Deadpool’s success, he said he could definitely see another mutant-oriented superhero film getting an R-rating.

Before Deadpool even had a chance to obliterate records at the box office over the weekend, Fox had already given the green light for a sequel, while Ryan Reynolds has been teasing the appearance of fellow comic book character Cable in the next film. But who could possibly play the warrior mutant best known from the New Mutants and X-Force? If Avatar star Stephen Lang has his way, it’ll be him.

‘Deadpool’s Secret Second Post-Credit Scene Revealed
As we previously told you, Deadpool has not one, but two post-credits scene. One of them has been shown at the various promotional and press screenings around the company. The other has been kept under wraps, only to be revealed when the film opens in theaters this Friday. But if you absolutely cannot wait another second, we have the details for you right now.

Fox has yet to officially green light the X-Force film, but if Deadpool does as well as early tracking suggests (promo screening buzz has been pretty positive from general audiences) and if Ryan Reynolds has his way, it won’t be long before we see the Merc With a Mouth team up with the X-Force for his own superhero team movie. Given Reynolds’ success in getting a proper Deadpool adaptation off the ground, this seems fairly likely.

‘X-Force’ Concept Art May Reveal Film’s Lineup
Back in 2013, 20th Century Fox tapped Kick-Ass 2 director Jeff Wadlow to write the screenplay for an X-Force movie, but when Tim Miller’s Deadpool concept footage “leaked” online, Fox fast-tracked the Merc With a Mouth’s solo film and put X-Force on the back burner. We still don’t know much about X-Force — is Wadlow also directing it? Which characters will be included in the lineup? Will familiar X-Men characters appear? — but new concept art may give us an indication of where Fox is headed with the project.

Fantastic Five: Most Underrated X-Men

Fantastic Five: Most Underrated X-Men
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our years on the Internet, it’s that there’s no aspect of comics that can’t be broken down and quantified in a single definitive list, preferably in amounts of five or ten. And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics. This week we’re counting down the top five most underrated X-Men! Since 1963, Marvel’s merry mutants have gained an astonishing following by mixing the potent combination of soap opera style melodrama, the alienation of being “different”, and crazy super-powers. Then the 90s and 2000s saw an even bigger explosion in their popularity with the success of multiple cartoons and some movies you may have seen, that introduced the gifted youngsters (and oldsters) of Professor Xavier’s school to an even wider audience. But even with all that real world popularity, there are still a few X-Characters that just never seem to get the kudos they deserve. Quick apology to some of the newer X-Men: Sorry, newbies, you need a few more years of being feared, hated, and undervalued to beat these… winners?

X-Cessive Force: Marvel's Most Violent Mutants In One Graphic
I grew up in the '90s, so no matter what I do with the rest of my life, I will always have a certain amount of nostalgic affection for X-Force. The hyperviolent, gun-toting mutant strike force that was originally created by Rob Liefeld back in 1991 has gone through a lot of different lineups and changes over the years, but one thing they've always had in common is that they specialize in massive amounts of destruction. But just how is that destruction carried out? Graphic designer Rogan Josh has the answer in a new poster that he made where the various rosters are broken down to show just what they can accomplish, whether it's through claws, blades, claw-blades, or just good old fashioned guns.

We like diversity here at ComicsAlliance. We've said it before, and we'll say it again. We're also big fans of superheroes, and that probably goes without saying. We especially like diversity with our superheroes. Diversity broadens the genre's reach, encourages respect and understanding of people's differences, and gives minority audiences more chances to see themselves in fiction, and those are
