Britt Wilson is both a cartoonist and a painter, and she lends a cartoonist's sensibility to her paintings. Her series of purple, poisonous plants have character without making them anthropomorphic, and she paints delightfully grotesque images of sea monsters with colorful hints of cuteness. She also uses her painterly eye for realism and color to add surprising touches to her comic work as well.In addition to her editorial illustration work and commissions, Wilson and her roommate Vicki Nerino publish comics under the name Uterus Parade.
