‘Cartoon Jumbles’ Mash Up Marvel and Peanuts

Jeremy Eaton has put together a series of paintings mashing up characters from comic books, newspaper strips and pop culture for an upcoming art show called "Cartoon Jumbles." My fav is Charlie Brown as the Watcher from Marvel Comics, which suits him somehow, and reminds me of the Sin City/Peanuts mashup from a while back.

In other paintings, Bazooka Joe and Sgt. Fury share a face, Uncle Sam and Uncle Scrooge tussle over coins and Hobbes (of "Calvin & Hobbes") romps with Tony the Tiger. They'll all be featured in a show at the Secret Headquarters shop in LA this friday, if you're in the neighborhood.
