Danger Girl, the action/adventure/spy series created by J. Scott Campbell and Andy Hartnell that's been making teens hide comics from their mothers since '98 apparently has a movie adaptation in the works with some serious stars attached. According to Latino Review Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil), Kate Beckinsale (Underworld, Whiteout) and Sofia Vergara (Modern Family) are attached to star in a potential DG film. It's unknown which of the actresses might play Danger Girls Abbey Chase, Sydney Savage or Natalia Kassle (the role of Silicon Valerie would probably be picked up by less of a star), but if the casting comes to fruition, they all seem about equally capable of any of the roles. Alas, Sean Connery, having had enough of comic book movies for a lifetime, will probably not be playing his straight up DG analogue Deuce.Given the lack of details surrounding the casting news, it's probably best to consider the info a rumor for now. Danger Girl hopped from Wildstorm to IDW back in 2009 and has been awaiting a full ongoing series between crossover books for some time. IDW's November solicitations reveal that Chris Madden (Jack Avarice IS The Courier) will be handling art on a new Danger Girl series in the near future.

As fans wait for confirmation on a Danger Girl film and/or the upcoming series from IDW, it's not a bad time to revisit the 2000 DG PlayStation game for all its animated cutscenes. Just don't tell your mom.
