'DC Universe Online' Announces 'Sons Of Trigon' DLC Pack

DC Universe Online is going to get demonic this fall when Wonder Woman squares off against Circe in a Trigon-takes-all battle for the fate of the DCU... that just so happens to take place in a wasteland version of Gotham City.

“In Sons of Trigon we finally get the answers to some critical questions that have been left unresolved since DCUO launched more than two years ago,” said Jens Andersen, Sr. Creative Director, DC Universe Online in an official press release. “Players get to explore a nightmare version of Gotham like nothing they have seen before, while battling alongside Wonder Woman or Circe to eventually defeat Trigon and restore peace, or steal Trigon’s power for their own use.”

The new DLC's storyline is a sort of sequel to the earlier DCUO "Sins of the Father" content, which saw Brother Blood unsuccessfully summon Raven's demonic dad Trigon. A botched blood ritual has left Trigon trapped in a hellish version of Gotham City, where he and his seven-deadly-sin-ish offspring must either be banished by Wonder Woman and a heroic player or further summoned by Circe and a villainous player.

To make the new scenario more interesting, DCUO will introduce a healing-focused "Celestial Power," Legends PvP characters Donna Troy and Cheetah, Brother Blood and Raven themed PvE gear, new feats and collections, plus the aforementioned Gotham City wasteland shared area and battles with Trigon's kids and a final confrontation with the big bad demon himself.

"Sons of Trigon" is due out on PC and PlayStation 3 this fall.
