It's a new era for all-ages books at Marvel Comics this month with "Super Heroes" #1 and "Spider-Man" #1. Designed to rejuvenate the publisher's previous "Adventures" line, both books aim to please a multigenerational readership with stories suited for the young but sophisticated enough to please more experienced, but no less enthusiastic comic book readers. Writer Paul Tobin and artist Matteo Lolli have stepped up to the challenge with "Spider-Man" #1, which arrives in stores next Wednesday.

Here's a look at Marvel's official synopsis for the issue:

"To the public, he's a mystery. To the media, he's a menace. To the Torino crime family, he's a possible million dollar payday. To Gwen Stacy, he's the subject of her latest school paper, and a way to become a reporter for the Daily Bugle. He's Peter Parker, the amazing Spider-Man, and he's here in an all-new ongoing series!"
