We've known for a while that Fantastic Four writer Jonathan Hickman plans to execute one of Marvel's First Family in January's issue #587, but the writer and his editor Tom Brevoort have been understandably cagey about revealing too much about what's sure to be a massive storyline. But with only four characters to choose from: Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch and the Thing -- those whose business it is to make wagers on this sort of thing have made their findings known.

What's the upshot? Sayonara, Sue Richards.Identifying itself as "a leading online sports betting and sports wagering entertainment website," BetUS.com has determined by what we can only assume is copious comic book research and a complex and dynamic algorithmic Mother Box-like computer system that Sue Richards is the most likely FF'er to kick the bucket in January, with odds of 1:1.

After Sue comes little brother Johnny Storm with odds of 4:1, then Reed Richards 6:1, and then The Thing, who's probably safe with odds of 100:1. But then again, we're talking about a comic book written by Jonathan Hickman, whose ideas are wildly imaginative enough to necessitate a series of annotations here on ComicsAlliance, so who knows what will really happen.

Written by Hickman with art by Steve Epting, Fantastic Four #584 goes on sale January 26 from Marvel Comics.
