For those who haven't gotten their fill of fighting in DC Universe Online, it seems a specialized new multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA) is on its way later this year from Turbine and WB Games. While it's not based directly on the Geoff Johns-written 2005-2006 DC Comics mega-event of the same name, the new Infinite Crisis game will allow players to battle across shifting environments using "a roster of powerful heroes and villains" from across the multiverse, including Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola's Gotham by Gaslight continuity, and the Batman & Dracula trilogy by Doug Moench and Kelley Jones. The game will be free-to-play when it launches on PC later this year, with the official Infinite Crisis website offering a sign-up portal for the eventual Beta. So far Superboy Prime and his reality-warping punches don't seem to be involved in IC's narrative, but a "shadowy force" is mentioned as behind the game's meteor-inflicted plot (maybe the Anti-Monitor?). You can take a look at the first Infinite Crisis trailer and screen shots, after the cut.
