With this year's Man of Steel reportedly laying the groundwork for the upcoming Justice League movie, it's time to start thinking about what characters are going to show up for duty as part of the cinematic version of the World's Greatest Super-Heroes. New rumors are suggesting that we'll get to see a very classic line-up...The Cosmic Book News website is reporting that an anonymous source within Warners has told them that the Justice League that we'll see in the upcoming movie consists of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter. According to the anonymous source, the Superman and Green Lantern appearances will follow on from Man of Steel and Green Lantern respectively, with Henry Cavill and Ryan Reynolds presumably returning to reprise their roles.

Also appearing, allegedly, will be Lois Lane and Alfred Pennyworth, both of whom are reportedly getting cameo appearances. We can also expect "a heavy military presence in the film" which may include an appearance from Amanda Waller that follows the character's Green Lantern role.

Of course, there is no way of knowing whether this source is sharing genuine scoops or fantasy rumors, but the idea that the Justice League movie will go with the original line-up of the comic incarnation isn't that surprising if true. What is slightly more surprising is the potential lack of Cyborg in the movie, especially considering that it appears that the movie may follow Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's New 52 origin for the group with the choice of Darkseid as the movie's villain. Maybe he's being held back for that Teen Titans movie we're all secretly waiting for.

Justice League is scheduled for a summer 2015 release.
