Earth is a Mess, New Japan is Worse in Kindt & Crain’s ‘Rai’ #12
Rai #12, by Matt Kindt and Clayton Crain, brings an end to current storyline "The Orphan," and promises to send the cyborg Rai off into the next chapter of his adventures. While robots rampage on the giant space station that is New Japan, Rai is hanging out on Earth with Gilad the Eternal Warrior, who in Rai's time has come to look a lot like Gandalf.
Crain's art seems ideally suited for the book's tone, and he seems equally adept at the verdant ruins of Earth and the futuristic cityscape of New Japan. His two covers for Issue 12 are described as "interlocking, but from the preview art, I can't seem to find where they interlock!
