Dean Haspiel Brings ‘The New Yorker’ To Riverdale With ‘Life With Archie’ #32
Over the past few years, Archie Comics has gotten into the variant cover game, and they're doing it better than just about anyone else in comics. The results have been great pieces that we never would've expected to see ten years ago, including stuff like Francesco Francavilla doing zombie-inspired "Afterlife With Archie" covers that led to him actually drawing their upcoming zombie book. Truly, we live in strange times.
This September, we're getting another awesome interpretation of the classic Archie characters as Dean Haspiel provides a cover inspired by The New Yorker. Will Archie have to seek advice from Eustace Tilley about making two dates for the big dance?! Check out the covers below!Haspiel is probably best known to comics readers as the Eisner-nominated collaborator with Harvey Pekar on American Splendor, The Quitter and The Alcoholic, but he's also an Emmy winner for his work on Bored to Death. Regardless of how many trophies on his shelf, the cover he knocked out for Life With Archie is great:
