Mike Alcantara Turns His Comics into Collages [Art]

Although art software has turned digital collaging into a popular pastime (especially if you want to create grand post-apocalyptic scenes), it's rare to stumble across a classic paper and glue collage online. Mike Alcantara pays tribute to comic book characters by cutting up comics and turning them into collages, each rooted to a central text or image.
Alcantara says his images are made from nothing but comics--no paint, no markers, just the ink already printed on paper. You can follow his latest pieces on Facebook, and occasionally he puts individual canvasses up for sale on Etsy.
