Though Suicide Squad itself may not linger on many "Best of" lists, Margot Robbie's take on Harley Quinn has drawn enough acclaim to earn her a "solo" movie, and possibly the brightest future of any villain in the DC Cinematic Universe. Now that we know the cinematic version of Harley Quinn isn't going anywhere any time soon, we can settle in for even more merchandise based on the character as portrayed by Robbie. That goes double for merchandise that won't be out for a full calendar year, like Prime 1 Studio's new Harley Quinn 1:4 scale statue.

For nearly $1000, Prime 1 Studio gets almost everything about this statue right. The bat-over-the-shoulders pose has become synonymous with this iteration of the character since the first footage from the film was released, and at this scale, there's plenty of detail incorporated throughout. All of it, save for the fishnets, is sculpted detail too, which is that much more impressive. The jacket and t-shirt look like real tailored goods, and even that bat looks like it was whittled down from actual wood.

This Harley comes with three distinct portraits to swap around, all of which supposedly have Robbie's likeness. It's not a very good likeness though. Granted, this is a prototype statue and the finished product isn't due to ship for another 12-15 months, but for all the good work Prime has done elsewhere, having the portrait be off really pulls you out of the illusion. The best head sculpt is the one blowing the bubble, but that's only because the rest of her facial features are hidden, so you can't see that the nose and cheeks are just off enough to make this Harley look like Robbie's stunt double rather than the actual actor.

The Prime 1 Studio Suicide Squad Harley Quinn statue is available for pre-order now from Sideshow Collectibles for $969.99, and is expected to arrive in Q1 2018.
