CBS Supergirl hasn’t had any trouble standing on her own through the first two outings, but it seems the DC drama may already reach out for some Super-help in Monday’s “Fight or Flight.” A new promo reveals that a certain S-shielded superhero will make a flyby, while upcoming photos also reveal Livewire, and more DC figures ahead.

You’re warned of minor spoilers for Monday’s latest upcoming Supergirl, but a new Global “Fight or Flight” promo surprisingly reveals that someone will call in Superman himself to aid against Chris Browning’s Reactron. As with the pilot, it appears that “The Big Guy” will be kept mostly obscured, but it certainly seems odd that CBS would head to that well again, especially if Superman didn’t logically stick around for some facetime with his cousin. Perhaps a dream sequence, of sorts?

In any case, CBS also released its first photos from November 23 outing “Livewire,” featuring True Blood alum Brit Morgan outfitted as the famous DC shock jock.

Even more Super-stars on the horizon, Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Emma Caulfield has signed on to the role of Batman ally Cameron Chase, in this context “a stern, no holds barred FBI agent, Chase’s weapons of choice are manipulation and manpower.”

We’ll see what other Super-stars crop up as Supergirl continues her first flight, but is CBS leaning too hard on the Superman connection? Have the first two episodes lived up to the series’ promise?
