The First Trailer for ‘Supernatural: The Animation’ Surfaces
It looks like Japan's "Supernatural: The Animation" is chugging along right on schedule to its January 2011 release. As part of an update to its official Japanese Web Site, Warner Bros. is showing off a new home page image along with MADHOUSE's 22-episode anime's first official trailer.
So far the trailer seems like more of a primer for the series as a whole than a standalone episode tying in with the show's upcoming sixth season, but given that it's not due out until January (and that the trailer is pretty brief), it's really too early to tell. What we do know, is that Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) Winchester will be lending their voices to a series that will feature them, at very least, shining flashlights, pointing guns, watching their mother burn and possibly fighting old men and slugs. Fans will know for sure when the first "Supernatural: The Animation" Blu-ray/DVD in Japan in two boxes on January 12 and April 6, 2011...and sometime later in the US.
Watch the new trailer after the jump.
