The Avengers 2

Since the very first Avengers 2 trailer, one of the scenes we were most looking forward to was the Hulk vs. Hulkbuster battle. If you just can’t wait until May 1, last night during the MTV Movie Awards, Marvel premiered an extended clip showing you more of the epic brawl between the two Avengers powerhouses.

Marvel held a huge press conference in support of Avengers: Age of Ultron, but that wasn’t the only topic on the agenda — Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige debuted a new Ant-Man trailer, which will arrive online today (don’t worry), and Feige spoke a bit about how their tiny superhero fits into the larger MCU.

We’re just weeks away from the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, which means Marvel is really ramping up their promotion for the upcoming super-sequel. In addition to new featurettes, TV spots, and the debut of Vision’s very own character poster (finally), the studio continues to release images from Joss Whedon’s epic new film. Today’s batch includes a couple of set photos along with new looks at super-siblings Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

We’re approaching that point in the ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ marketing campaign where it can start to feel like we’ve already seen every big stunt and setpiece in the film before the movie’s even opened. But the new ‘Avengers’ trailer reveals yet another amazingly cool beat that’s never been seen before: Chris Evans’ Captain America loses his shield in battle with James Spader’s Ultron, so Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow snatches it while trailing the fight on a motorcycle, then slides under a semi-truck Fast & Furious-style and tosses it up to Cap so he can continue the battle. Awesome awesome awesome. (Marvel’s going to try to use that as a pull-quote on the poster, aren’t they?)

In addition to providing motion capture support on Avengers: Age of Ultron, we’ve known for some time that Andy Serkis would also have a live-action part in the film. Serkis’ role in the film has remained mysterious since production began, although it’s been speculated for a while that he’s playing Black Panther villain Ulysses Klaw. You can officially stop speculating now because Serkis himself has delivered confirmation.

Like any major motion picture these days, Avengers 2 is set to open on IMAX screens, giving fans a chance to watch Earth’s mightiest heroes battle evil on a screen larger than their house. And like any major motion picture opening in IMAX, attendees at the opening night screenings will be given a special poster to commemorate the occasion. And since Marvel is really good at getting fans hyped up, they’ve gone ahead and created four separate posters.

We presume you know all about Ultron by now. He's big and shiny and angry. But, what of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch? In the trailers and posters we see them fighting alongside both Ultron and The Avengers. Are they good? Bad? Who are these guys?

We heard rumors a while back that Captain Marvel would make her big screen debut in Avengers 2 before getting her own solo film in a few years, but then heard this was no longer the case. Now, according to a source who has been right about this kind of stuff before, Marvel has secretly cast their Carol Danvers and has plans to introduce her very soon.

We're all done with Avengers 2 trailers, but this new extended TV spot (which will air during the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament) has so much awesome new footage, it's almost as good as a full trailer.

We're on the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron, inside the new Avengers Tower; formerly Stark Tower and now converted to a de facto headquarters for the Earth’s mightiest heroes. It’s all very sleek and shiny and pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a place Tony Stark calls home. Except now, it's a complete disaster. There's broken glass scattered across the floor. Furniture is destroyed. There are giant gashes in the wall. There's a production assistant dramatically swinging a giant cape around (the actors film their fight scenes without the cape, and the cape is added later in post-production).
