Everyone already knows that the majority of Marvel's superheroes call New York City home, but I'm not sure anyone suspected they'd do mortal combat in the borough of Queens.

As io9 pointed out, the mural by artist Gusto houses Spider-Man, Iron Man, the Hulk and Wolverine standing against Dr. Doom, Venom, Doctor Octopus, Magneto and the Rhino. The art stands on the side of a T-Mobile building at the corner of 86th St and Roosevelt Avenue. T-Mobile donated the wall space, earning them a nod within the artwork.

Gusto credits Dean Fraser's "Springfield Punx" blog for its "Simpsonizing" inspiration. Fraser was apparently even impressed enough to reach out to Gusto for an electronic pat on the back.

The full mural can be seen at Gusto's blog or, for New Yorkers, outside.
