Although Wonder Woman doesn’t hit theaters until 2017, it looks as if filming has already begun on Gal Gadot’s solo superhero adventure. Wonder Woman will make her debut next spring in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, while co-star Chris Pine has just popped up in a new set photo, giving us our first look at Steve Trevor — along with a new cast member.

As producer Charles Roven told Collider this week, Wonder Woman is filming in the U.K. and Italy, the latter location lending credence to the rumor that at least part of the film will take place during WWII. Also confirming that rumor are the first photos from the set, posted by new cast member Said Taghmaoui, in which he and co-star Chris Pine are sporting period costumes:

Taghmaoui has since deleted the photos from his Instagram account, indicating that someone at WB wasn’t thrilled with the actor sharing images from the set so early on.

It’s unclear who Taghmaoui is playing in the film, though the photo implies that he’s friendly with Pine’s Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman’s longtime love interest in the comics. Taghmaoui has previously appeared in films like G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and American Hustle, as well as shows like LOST and The Missing.

Last we heard, Nicole Kidman is in talks to join the cast of Wonder Woman, possibly playing Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazon tribe on Paradise Island / Themyscira and Wonder Woman’s mother. WB is also reportedly seeking actors to play the film’s villains, Ares and Circe.

Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
