By now you know pretty much every mutant that’s set to appear in X-Men: Apocalypse, from returning characters like Mystique and Magneto to the younger versions of favorites like Jean Grey and Cyclops. But there’s still plenty we don’t know about, and director Bryan Singer’s latest photo update teases the return of a mutant we’ve seen on the big screen before — like Deadpool, this one also made his debut in the unfortunate X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Singer posted this photo to Instagram, teasing the return of a rather, um, sizable mutant:

Yep, that would be The Blob, aka Fred Dukes, previously portrayed by Kevin Durand. We’re not sure who’s playing the role in Apocalypse, but as you can see in the photo, it looks like he gets knocked out by Ben Hardy’s Angel in that Berlin fight club scene. While they appear to have used some CGI to enhance his large frame, this iteration of The Blob already looks much better than the one we saw in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. And though he probably won’t have a huge (sorry) role in Apocalypse, it’s good to see him getting another shot on the big screen.

X-Men: Apocalypse features returning stars Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne, along with newcomers Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp, with Oscar Isaac as the titular villain. The film hits theaters on May 27.
