Cartoon Network’s ‘Young Justice’ Unleashes a New Mister Twister

An initially goofy thorn in the original Teen Titans' side, the old-school Mister Twister has one of those backstories that makes even seasoned superhero readers' heads ache. Basically a spurned old dude in fanciful pioneer garb kidnapped teens with a stolen Native American shaman's element-controlling staff somethingsomething demon gargoyle... and fans are all like, "What the Whaaa?!" At any rate, looking at MTV Splash Page's exclusive new image, his Earth-16 counterpart seems to be similar in name only. If you love turtle shell pouches, prepared to have your heart broken by modern armor.Scheduled to appear in the third Young Justice episode, "Welcome to Happy Harbor" premiering January 21, the new Mister Twister is said to be a brand new villain. Unfortunately for the YJ team, they mistakenly believe him to be their mentor Red Tornado testing them in disguise.

So much drama goes down when people stop identifying themselves with turtle shell pouches...
